Washington, N.C. (September 24, 2016)—The Salvation Army of Washington, North Carolina has been requested by emergency management officials to provide feeding and hydration support in response to flooding in Bertie County. Heavy, sustained rainfall from TS JULIA caused the Cashie River to rise, causing floods in Windsor, North Carolina.
The Salvation Army’s efforts to help southern Louisiana continue its path to recovery is gradually moving from emergency response to long term recovery.
