Since 1912, the Charlottesville Corps of The Salvation Army has been committed to building an Army with a daily mission of working alongside the homeless and those in need in Charlottesville. The Charlottesville Corps engages in “boots-on-the-ground” actions to mentor and encourage restorative choices, equipping recipients to pave a pathway from crisis into community. We are the primary safety net for the greater Charlottesville area. The Salvation Army in Charlottesville has provided services regardless of creed, race, gender or sexual orientation, and is consistently rated among the most efficient charities in America.
