  • Programs of The Salvation Army are tailored to meet the needs of the community in which they reside.

    The Fredericksburg Corps of The Salvation Army serves thousands of families each year through its programs, which include

    CAAP (Community Assessment & Assistance Program)
    Energy Share Program
    Youth Programs: Sunbeams, Girl Guides, Adventure Corps, Youth Music Program
    Seasonal Programs: Thanksgiving, Christmas Angel Tree, Toyland, Food, Gift and clothing assistance program
    Camp Happyland and the summer day camps
    Spiritual programs at the church include: Women’s Home League, Men’s Fellowship Club; Community Care Program (outreach to area nursing homes)

    Family Store
    Disaster Services

    Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program 2012 Requirements
    Every applicant must present the following documentation:

    Two forms of identification:
    The applicant must have a picture ID (photo ID, driver’s license, passport)
    Social Security card

    Each applicant must present a birth verification, or legal guardianship documentation for EACH child.

    Birth Certificate
    Court papers to proof custody over child

    Household income verification:

    Pay stubs (at least last two)
    Employer verification letter
    Unemployment benefits letter Income from: SS, SSI, SSDI

    Verification of state assistance must be presented for each applicant:

    TANF or VIEW program
    Food Stamps
    WIC
    Medicaid

    No child over the age of 14 years of age is eligible (we accept children born ONLY after December 25, 1997) unless the child is disabled and receiving SSI

    FOOD ONLY APPLICANTS (only those on Food Stamps or SNAP program)

    Applicants must present two forms of identification.
    Must present Food Stamps or SNAP program card
