CAAP stands for the Community Assessment and Assistance Program, reflecting the manner in which the program is structured-to assist those who have experienced a financial crisis.  Through CAAP, The Salavation Army serves hundreds of households from the City of Fredericksburg and the Counties of Caroline, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George and Westmoreland.

As an emergency assistance program, specific documentation of the crisis is required.  A drastic change in circumstance may include a loss of job, illness, incarceration, homelessness, or other extreme situations. Each client must also provide documentation of identity for self and all household members. Undocumented aliens may use foreign documents.   Funding for these programs come from a variety of sources and include:

Private Donations
The United Way
Area Churches
Emergency Food & Shelter Program
The Barbara Terry Emergency Assistance Fund
The Interfaith Community Council
