All events are held at The Salvation Army Virginia Peninsula, 1033 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA unless otherwise noted.  Local events for residents of Gloucester and Matthews Counties are announced on the Gloucester Service Center Facebook page.

April 21

Community Breakfast, 10 AM / Easter Worship, 11 AM.  Join us for a hearty breakfast followed by Easter worship.   We will celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and rejoice in His power over sin and death.  Come discover how we all have a part in the miracle of Easter.  There will be something for all ages on this special day, including an Easter Egg hunt for ages 12 and under.

May 7                   

Camp Information Night, 6 PM.  Camp season is here! Plan to attend this informative session where you can learn about our summer-long camping program at Camp Happyland in Richardsville, VA for ages 7 to 17.  Tuition is free and camps run 6 days long.  Contact malaika.good@uss.salvationarmy.org to RSVP today. 

May 11                

Teddy and Tea, 12 PM.  An event honoring mothers and daughters.  There are so many hardworking moms in our world today and we want to honor them with a special celebration for mothers and daughters.  Come dressed in your best tea party attire with your little girl for a relaxing cuppa tea, amusing games, and an inspirational message.  Contact malaika.good@uss.salvationarmy.org to RSVP today.

May 12                

Mothers’ Day Worship Service, 11 AM.  Today we celebrate mothers across the Peninsula!  Come worship with us and every mother in attendance will receive a small Mother’s Day gift.

June 16

Fathers’ Day Worship Service, 11 AM.  Today we celebrate fathers across the Peninsula! Come worship with us and every father in attendance will receive a small Father’s Day gift.

June 17

Summer Day Camp begins.  Summer Day Camps offer children a chance to participate in exciting educational and recreational activities during summer breaks.  Campers will participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor activities while making new friends and learning new skills.  Contact malaika.good@uss.salvationarmy.org for more information.  Registration deadline is June 1st.
