Throughout the year, The Salvation Army of the Virginia Peninsula provides a variety of events supporting our community. These events include fundraising activities, programs for adults, seniors, and families, community center events, and holiday celebrations. Won’t you please join us at our next event?


All events are held at The Salvation Army Virginia Peninsula, 1033 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA unless otherwise noted.  Local events for residents of Gloucester and Matthews Counties are announced on the Gloucester Service Center Facebook page.

Sept 19-20, 6pm  Corps Revival.  Two nights of Christian praise and worship to revive your soul and spirit.

Sept 20, 2018, 11am- 5pm  Red Kettle Classic, Kiln Creek Golf Club and Resort, 1003 Brick Kiln Blvd., Newport News, VA 23602

Oct 1-5 & 8-12  Angel Tree sign-ups for families requesting assistance (Mondays 3-8pm & Tues-Fri 9-12 and 1-3pm)

Oct 30, 2018, 5:30pm  Fall Harvest Festival. Join us for food and fun.  Come dressed up (12 and under) as we have a Trunk or Treat and carnival games with many prizes!

Nov 25, 2018, 12:30pm  Nursing Home Christmas Visitations. Many of our seniors find themselves lonely during the Christmas season. Join us as we distribute Christmas gifts to   local nursing home residents in an effort to brighten up their Christmas.

Dec 18-20, 2018  Christmas Distribution for families receiving Angel Tree gifts.

Dec 23, 2018, 11am  Christmas Pajama Party. What a great way to celebrate Christmas! Come dressed in your pajamas for a Christmas breakfast and lots of fun as we   celebrate the birth of Jesus!
