The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center is currently looking for CERTIFIED group fitness instructors for the following classes: Yoga, Pilates, Core and More, Sit and Fit, Zumba, Zumba Gold, TRX, Aerobics, Spin and a variety of Dance classes.

ONLY INTERESTED IN CERTIFIED INSTRUCTORS. Nationally recognized general group fitness and/or specific class certifications (TRX, Spin, etc.) will be accepted.

JOB TITLE:      Volunteer/Donation Drive Coordinator
            
LOCATION:     The Salvation Army Hampton Roads Area Command

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Development, the Volunteer/Donation Drive Coordinator supports community engagement through developing and managing significant volunteer, donation drive and networking programs and assists with planning, coordination and execution of special event functions. Researches and secures location, facilities, transportation as required, and coordinates and supervises volunteers to ensure events run smoothly.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in business, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
A minimum of two years progressively responsible experience demonstrating a record of accomplishment in development, with an emphasis on building and enhancing an integrated program and considerable interface with top-level volunteers.

Any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

JOB TITLE:      Lifeguard
            
LOCATION:      The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lifeguard ensures that the aquatic operations are in compliance with established departmental policies and procedures. Aquatic Lifeguard is an hourly position, which may be designed full-time, part-time, or as needed. Under the direction and supervision of the Lead Life Guard, the Lifeguard observes swimmers, protects life, prevents accidents, enforces regulations, and does related work as required.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Current certificates in American Red Cross First Aid or First Aid For Public Safety Personnel (Title22), CPR for the Professional Rescuer (CPR Pro), and Lifeguard Training. Equivalent training certificates may be accepted.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.

JOB TITLE:      Child Watch Aide
            
LOCATION:      The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center

POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides child watch services for children including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities and specialized programs; prepares and maintains records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of child watch center.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Two years’ experience teaching child development classes to children OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Knowledge of the principles and practices of Child Behavior and Development. Knowledge of the principles and practices of early childhood curriculum development. Knowledge of the principles and practices of First Aid and C.P.R and ability to ensure the safety of children. Ability to teach children christian values as well as general early childhood education curriculum. Ability to plan, develop, and implement effective childhood programs and activities.

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

JOB TITLE:    Building Maintenance Worker II
            
LOCATION:      The Salvation Army Ray and Joan Kroc Corps Community Center

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Facilities Manager, plans, develops and oversees security measures for the Kroc Center and supports facility maintenance and upkeep.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Two years’ experience performing security work OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Ability to supervise and manage building staff and/or volunteers. Ability to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
Ability to follow and adhere to Salvation Army policies and procedures. Ability to maintain a safe environment for all employees, guests and members. Ability to handle security and crisis situations.
Ability to maintain a professional attitude and approach to problem solving.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate’s degree from a technical or vocational school in criminal justice or a related field..
