Position Title: Bell Ringer Schedule: Monday – Saturday 10am-8pm Position Description: Greet shoppers as they fill the kettles this season with their contributions to help our most needy. Kettles are located at grocery and retail stores throughout the area. Requirements: We ask that groups sign up to take at least a day of ringing at one kettle at one location. You can split the day among your family, friends, and coworkers or other group members in two-hour blocks. We welcome youth volunteers for this event, but youth MUST be accompanied by an adult chaperone.
Position Title: Angel Tree Gift Sorting Schedule: Multiple shifts available Monday- Friday How many volunteers: Individuals and groups of up to 20 are welcome Position Description: Help organize the thousands of donated gifts for the children registered in our Angel Tree Program. Requirements: Volunteers must be age 14 or older. All youth volunteers must be accompanied by an adult throughout the volunteer shift. Volunteers must be able to lift medium to large packages, carry items up and down stairs, and be comfortable on their feet for the majority of their shifts.

Position Title: Food Pantry Assistant Schedule: Fridays 1pm-4pm. A monthly or weekly commitment is required. Position Description: Prepare grocery bags, greet food pantry guests, and help guests carry grocery bags to their cars. Requirements: Must be capable of lifting heavy items.
Position Title: Food Pick-Up Assistant Schedule: Wednesdays and/or Fridays, 10am-11am Position Description: Drive to local partner restaurants to pick up food that will be distributed to families in need. (The Salvation Army vehicles will be available to use.) Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license.
Positions Title: Kitchen Assistant Schedule: Tuesdays, 4:00-6:30 pm, Thursdays, 4:00-6:00 pm Position Description: Assist in preparing meal for youth and music program participants. Clean and organize the dining room and kitchen following meals.
Opportunity: Short-term Teacher Schedule: Flexible. Teach a one-time class or teach it monthly to a new group, or select multiple topics for a class series in your area of expertise. We can even create an event around your area of expertise. Description: We are looking to develop a series of life skills classes which would be open to all community members and are looking for teachers. Are you a professional searching for an avenue to share your expertise? Can you teach your skill to community members (i.e., budgeting, organization, arts classes, cooking)? Requirements: Documented expertise in preferred teaching subject.
Position Title: Social Services Intern Schedule: 10 hours per week within the hours of 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday Position Description: Answer client phone calls, conduct intake interview to assess need, schedule interviews, conduct interviews to determine client eligibility, complete appropriate reports. Requirements: To be completed as a part of a social services training course. Will be under the supervision of a staff member with an MSW.
Position Title: Youth Program Assistant Schedule: Tuesdays, 5:30pm-7:30pm. A 6-month commitment is required. Position Description: Assist leaders in either a kindergarten, 1st-5th grade or 6th-12th grade class, where students participate in a variety of activities and games focused on the following themes: arts and crafts, outdoor living, family, culture, character-building, The Salvation Army beliefs, among other topics.
Position Title: Janitorial Assistant Schedule: Flexible Position Description: Help clean the offices, bathrooms and classrooms, and assist with minor maintenance repairs.
