Christmas Assistance

  • Christmas Assistance

The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance program is designed to help the less fortunate in our Central Virginia community during the Christmas season. Thanks to gracious partners, The Salvation Army is able to provide gifts at Christmastime to some 3,000 families and about 5,000 children across Central Virginia.

After the application period and week-long distribution of gifts, The Salvation Army continues to provide solutions to the families who received Christmas assistance. Solutions come in the form of a listening ear, education opportunities, utility bill assistance, rent/mortgage assistance, warm meals, worship opportunities, and more through the dozens of programs at The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club.
