Angel Tree

  • Through community support and dedicated partners, our Christmas Assistance Program provides gifts at Christmastime to nearly 3,000 families and 5,000 children across Central Virginia.

The Salvation Army Angel Tree, in partnership with NBC12, is an opportunity for members of our community to come together by adopting Angels and/or Silver Bells from an Angel Tree at area malls and corporations, which allows us to help families in Central Virginia who are struggling to make ends meet, by giving them a wonderful Christmas.

Each Angel (children ages 0-14) represents a child in need in Central Virginia, who, without the support of the community, might not have a Christmas. Members of our community adopt the Angels by providing new clothing and gifts for their Christmas.

Silver Bells (Senior citizens ages 62+) have the same opportunities for adoption as Angels.
