Dallas, TX – August 4, 2015, Texas Baptist Men provided a new specialized filtering system for The Salvation Army water tanker. This system purifies water with a combination of UV Light and five different filters, which will allow The Salvation Army to provide filtered water to any disaster response resource. This cooperative effort illustrates the value of having strong partnerships during disaster and non-disaster times.
Redding, Calif. (Aug 8, 2015)—The Salvation Army of Redding is still in need of food and hydration product donation as it continues to serve Hayfork residents who have been impacted by the recent wildfires. Non-perishable food, fresh produce and bottled water are items that are most needed.

Lutz, Fla. (August 3, 2015) – The Salvation Army of Florida is responding to local record flooding in Pasco County and the surrounding areas. The Salvation Army is deploying a shower unit to an evacuation shelter at First Presbyterian Church at 7540 Ridge Road in Port Richey to help flood evacuees. The shelter is one of several American Red Cross shelters opening to house people under mandatory evacuation orders across Pasco County.
Clanton, AL (07/24/2015) – The Salvation Army and the American Red Cross conducted a Joint Organization Liaison Training at the Alabama Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) and State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC). The training was done by ALM Interagency Disaster Liaison Bill Feist (CEM) from The Salvation Army and Division Disaster State Relations Director Donna Weise of the American Red Cross.
